The Dubai Investor Visa is applicable to foreign nationals who want to start their own business or invest in an existing business in Dubai. 

The Dubai investor visa grants the holder the right to reside in the UAE, and to come and go as they wish for the duration of the visa. INFORMATION ABOUT 5 AND 10 YEAR VISAS

5 Year Long Term Residence Visa:

If you are interested in investing in a property worth more than AED 5 million (around 1 210 000€), then you are eligible for a 5-year residency visa. As with all visa options, there are certain requirements you should keep in mind. For starters, you cannot purchase the property with a mortgage or by availing any type of loans or financing. In addition to this, the investment must be kept for a period of at least 3 years. But then those who have the visa also have the freedom to sponsor their family and dependents.

10-year long-term residency visa:

For those who invest more than AED 10 million (minimum of 40% in the property), they are considered eligible for the 10-year residency visa. You must provide sufficient proof that the amount invested is not financed or loaned and you must further retain the investment for a period of 3 years. Being an investor on a 10-year visa will include an executive director and advisor apart from family members and dependents. The visa can be extended to include business partners if they are additionally interested in contributing an amount of AED 10 million ( around 2 420 000€).

Obtaining an investor visa in the UAE – rules, requirements and the process

First, you have to get an entry visa from the Department of Immigration and Naturalization of the UAE. By submitting an application and obtaining this permission (entry visa), you can legally enter the country. After completing a company registration process, when you have all the statutory documents, you can apply for an investor visa in Dubai, UAE. To do this, you must collect the following set of documents :

  • A copy of the applicant’s passport.
  • An applicant’s photo.
  • A copy of the company license, copies of passports, and visas of all company shareholders.
  • A copy of an immigration card.
  • Copy of the company’s constituent agreement (for LLC)
  • Copy of the partnership agreement (for companies outside free zones)
